The Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredits care agencies in Canada and offers three tiers of certification.
Thompson Community Services (TCS) recently achieved CARF's highest compliance rating and was awarded a prestigious three year accreditation. CARF certification is awarded to organizations that show substantial fulfilment of the highest levels of standards established by the Commission. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has undergone rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality. An organization accredited for three years has demonstrated that its current standards and operations are well established and will be maintained or improved in the future.
We are proud to have received the three year CARF accreditation, which noticed particular strengths in the following areas:
The mission of CARF is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centres on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
Through responsiveness to a dynamic and diverse environment, CARF serves as a catalyst for improving the quality of life of the persons served by CARF-accredited organizations and the programs and services they provide. When the service or program you choose is CARF-accredited, it means your provider has passed an in-depth review of its services. It is your assurance that the provider meets rigorous CARF guidelines for service and quality - a qualified endorsement that your provider conforms to nationally and internationally recognized service standards and is focused on delivering the most favourable results for you.
